SUPERLab Research Group participated in Pint of Science 2026 as part of its research engagement activities, bringing conversations about wearable technologies, artificial intelligence, robotics, and future healthcare to a public audience in an informal and engaging setting.

Monitoring Health 24/7

Dr Encarna Micó Amigo delivered an engaging public talk titled Monitoring Health 24/7, exploring how the wearables revolution is transforming healthcare through continuous, real-world monitoring beyond the clinic.

Using a creative magician-inspired theme, the session introduced the idea of an “invisible clinician”: a future healthcare approach where digital technologies quietly support earlier detection, more accurate monitoring, and more personalised care throughout daily life.

About Pint of Science

Pint of Science is a grassroots non-profit organisation that brings researchers and members of the public together in relaxed spaces to discuss research outside traditional laboratories and lecture theatres. The festival encourages open conversations, curiosity, and public trust in science by making research more accessible and approachable.

SUPERLab’s participation reflects our commitment to research engagement beyond the university, supporting meaningful public conversations about how smart wearables, digital health technologies, and artificial intelligence may shape the future of healthcare.
